– Fix Outlook Password Prompt Reappearing – TechCult
Lately, we have been fighting Outlook prompt for credentials in our environment. We have tried removing the credentials and adding them manually in credential manager.
Nothing seems to work. What did spark my attention in credential manager, after login with user and password, the credentials did not get placed in the generic field. It was placed in the windows credential field with persistence set to “Login Session”.
Which found out later on, this should be “Enterprise”. Does anyone know how I can accomplish this task? We would like to know more about your concern regarding the window popping asking for your credentials.

That did not help. An update to a third-party app occurred on April 28, and I thought it might be related so I removed the app. No change. I went so far as to remove Office from the system, restarted, cleaned the system using CCleaner Professional, cleaned the registry using CCleaner Professional and reinstalled Office with the original distribution disc.
